Informing the work of Breakspear Architects are the team’s diverse backgrounds and expertise in architecture, interiors, landscape and urban design. Breakspear Architects is directed by Toby Breakspear. Toby worked with CHROFI from 2006-2013 where he was the project architect for the national and international award winning pair of buildings; the Lune De Sang Sheds. Toby graduated from the University of Sydney (USYD), receiving the Graduate Award for Architecture History and Theory from the AIA NSW Chapter and the Ethel M Chettle Prize in Architecture. His entry in collaboration with Lucy Humphrey was a finalist in the 2G International Ideas Competition for Venice Lagoon Park, which was subsequently exhibited at the Venice Arsenale and the European Landscape Biennale in Barcelona. Toby has taught architectural design and communications at the USYD, University of New South Wales (UNSW) and University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
